The Mercedes-Benz OM616 is an inline four diesel engine used between 1970 and 1980. With it’s 2.4L it developped 71 Hp.
Drawn by hand on MDF wooden board, it uses a mix of chalk pencils and acrylic paint for an optimal rendering. This particular artwork is based on an open engine wich gives a really aesthetical approach to the cylinders head. It took around 30 hours to complete.
You can watch the entire process of making an engine artwork on my YouTube channel.
